The Desert Museum Palo Verde Tree, botanical name Cercidium parkinsonia, is an attractive small to medium sized deciduous tree native to the deserts of California and Arizona.

It's very drought tolerant once established and does well with full sun exposure. A fast grower, the Palo Verde tree blooms with fragrant yellow flowers in mid-spring, attracting pollinators, birds, and butterflies into your garden.
